The Valassis co-op FSI, branded "RedPlum," appears in over 60 million households and in over 800 newspapers coast to coast. It is one of the largest distributors of coupons in the world. These four-color Free-Standing Inserts (FSIs) are primarily inserted into Sunday paid newspapers, while some markets of the Valassis Co-op FSI are inserted into the RedPlum shared-mail package. Household penetration on a nationwide basis is almost sixty percent. Studies show that most consumers prefer to clip coupons on the weekend, which contributes favorably to the response of mail order products.
