As 2004 shapes up to be a banner year for growth in small businesses
, the time is right for many small business owners to spend big. According to bizstats.com, there are currently, over 25 million small businesses in operation in the United States alone, and these businesses contribute over $17.9 billion in sales each year. Additionally, an article by Bill Dunkelberg in the February/March issue of MyBusiness magazine states that one in four small business owners believes that 2004 is a good time to make significant additions to capacity, and about 30 percent of all owners plan capital expenditures in 2004. These facts make it obvious that the time is right to target small businesses and small business owners through the number of marketing options specifically targeted to this group.
