The Fleet Week Program is the official program of San Diego's annual Fleet Week celebration. This annual event celebrates the contributions made by the women of the US armed services. 75,000 copies of this program are distributed at every major Fleet Week function, including the Miramar Air Show - the largest air show in the world. The San Diego Fleet Week Foundation is a California Public Benefit Corporation. As a Public Benefit Corporation, the San Diego Fleet Week Foundation donates proceeds in excess of operating expenses from Fleet Week San Diego to charities that provide critical support to military families. This past year, the Navy Morale Welfare and Recreation Fund, and the local chapters of the Armed Services YMCA, the USO and the Navy and Marine Corps Relief Society were recipients. The mission of Fleet Week San Diego is to properly pay tribute to and to thank San Diegos military service men and women for Serving America Twice in the defense of the nation and as volunteers in improving the quality of its communities.Fleet Week San Diegos magic is in the power of the partnership between the community and the men and women who serve the nation in the naval services.
