Biblical Archaeology Review

Since 1975, the Biblical Archaeology Society, founded by Hershel Shanks, has educated the general public on the latest archaeological discoveries from the Bible lands and the ancient Near East. The only nondenominational organization dedicated to educating a broad audience, the Biblical Archaeology Society was instrumental in the publication of the Dead Sea Scrolls and has been regularly covered in TIME Magazine, The New York Times, The Washington Post, U.S. News & World Report, and The Jerusalem Post. Biblical Archaeology Review (BAR) acts as a bridge between the academic study of archaeology and a broad general audience eager to better understand the world of the Bible. Covering both the Old and New Testaments, BAR is the only nonsectarian forum for the discussion of Biblical archaeology. The world's greatest archaeologists present their latest findings in a fresh, intelligible way that everyone can understand and appreciate. Articles follow the major issues in the field - from the historical reliability of the Bible to the significance of the Dead Sea Scrolls - and are supplemented by stunning photography.
