While many TMC's are mail delivered only, Detroit Weekend Direct is a mix of in-paper and US Postal delivery. The Detroit Weekend Direct (DWD) inserts are delivered within the Friday editions of the Detriot News and Free Press home-delivered newspapers for subscribers to the papers. The households within the zips ordered who do not subscribe to either newspaper receive their DWD package in the mail on that Friday. Some packages are delivered in the mail on Saturday but it is a low percentage. Also offered is a single-copy distribution within the DWD purchased zips on the Friday of the DWD drop.
