The Compton Bulletin is the 2nd Largest Circulation Black Newspaper in Los Angeles County with over 30,000 readers each week. 50% of the newspapers are home delivered each Wednesday morning. 50% of the newspapers are distributed through racks in all government offices and business throughout the community.The Compton Bulletin was founded in 1973 by O. Ray Watkins, a local businessman and community activist. Since that time, the company has grown to publish five community newspapers focusing on interests of the Black community. In 2003, the newspaper was acquired by American Print Media and its circulation was increased by 50%. Currently every home in the City of Compton receives the newspaper home delivered.The Compton Bulletin is in the Los Angeles, CA DMA. The Compton Bulletin is a paid circulation African-American publication that offers ROP and insert advertising opportunities in its daily circulation. Echo Media has direct relationships with over 7,500 newspapers providing tremendous local coverage.
