The Northwest Voice is a new, free bi-weekly community newspaper and Web site serving the residents and businesses of Northwest Bakersfield. The Northwest Voice emphasizes positive news, with most information and pictures contributed by residents, schools and local groups. The focus of The Northwest Voice is on schools, youth sports, churches and events, as well as issues of importance to the community such as new construction and traffic.The newspaper is delivered free to the 21,700 households in the Rosedale, Norris and Fruitvale school districts every other Thursday. Another 4,000 copies will be available at news racks throughout the area.The Northwest Voice is in the Bakersfield, CA DMA.
