Floor Advertising - What Is It and Why Try It? 04/07/2004
Floor advertising consists of an oversized sticker advertisement that is placed on the floor in the aisles at supermarkets, mass merchandise stores and drugstores. This channel works as brand enhancement and pushes product sales at the point of purchase - in store. Advertisers have a variety of options on the size and shape of their floor ads, and can even have their ad die-cut or produced in 3-D in order to grab a consumer’s attention. Floor advertising can even lead a customer right to your product’s shelf-placement with a footprint, a path or a road. Floor advertisement design options are virtually unlimited. Since most stores limit the number of ads they will allow to be placed on their floors at one time, this practically ensures that the ad will be presented to the consumer in an uncluttered environment. Placements can be selected to blanket an entire geographical area; or simply by store chain or even a specific store location, so that these impact ads can be tracked by lift in product sales in the specific geography.
